Vilia is a postpartum support app for families and trusted supporters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account, complete onboarding, join or create a village, use check-ins, send wishes or Buzz requests, write postpartum plan notes, or contact us.
This may include your name, email address, role, baby name, due date or birth date, postpartum preferences, mood check-ins, support requests, village membership, and app content you choose to save or share.
Sign-In Information
Vilia supports Apple, Google, and email sign-in. We use authentication information to create and secure your account. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate Vilia, sync your account across devices, show role-aware postpartum guidance, manage village invitations, deliver Buzz and notification features, provide support, improve reliability, and protect the service from misuse.
Village Sharing
Vilia is built around private villages. Some information you choose to share, such as wishes, Buzz requests, role, availability, and selected village timeline details, may be visible to members of your village so they can support you.
Sensitive Information
Postpartum information can be personal. NICU and loss settings are used to adjust the tone and content of the app. We do not sell this information.
AI Chat
If you use AI chat features, your messages may be processed to generate responses. Do not use Vilia for emergencies or as a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or legal advice.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we may use device tokens to send app notifications, including Buzz alerts and reminders. You can control notifications in iOS settings and in the app where available.
Service Providers
We may use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, notifications, email, and app distribution. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
Data Retention
We retain information while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may contact us to request deletion of your account data.
Your Choices
You can update account and profile information in the app. You can leave villages, disable notifications, or request account deletion by contacting us.
Children
Vilia is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
